Diary of Princess Helga - Year 1145
Yesterday, the castle was attacked by a most grievous dragon. His wings were cramped, and he sustained dreadful wounds from colliding with the tower. Strangely, his body was hollow, and within it an unusual being trying desperately to keep it aloft. My servants tell me I was hallucinating, but I cannot stop wondering whether more of the kingdom's beasts are naught more than hollow puppets. Perhaps if I observed one unawares, I could become one myself... yes, that would be splendid...
